Heating radiators are the most important part of housing communications, since they serve to enhance the heat transfer from the pipes in the winter heating season. Not so long ago, the main production material for radiators was cast iron, but in modern realities heating systems began to need lighter and more productive elements. So, gradually, in everyday life, steel (first protected from the harmful effects of water) began to appear, and then bimetallic and aluminum batteries.
The current market conditions have allowed more than a hundred manufacturers of heating radiators to reach the masses, but only 10–20% of them managed to consolidate as leaders. The majority of consumers know firsthand about the key indicators of batteries, paying attention to the indicators of heat transfer, fastening and design parameters. Based on the experience of experts and feedback from real users, we have compiled a rating of the best manufacturers of heating radiators, worthy of trust and close attention to their products.
The best manufacturers of aluminum and bimetal radiators
5 "Thermal"
A country: Russia
Rating (2019): 4.8
One of the few Russian manufacturers whose production lines are stored within the borders of their native country. “Termal” is an extremely “popular” representative of the segment, the main advantage of which lies in the production of inexpensive aluminum radiators for heating. Despite the mediocre appearance indicators and the quality of the visual finish (enamel can show signs of aging), there is no fault in the performance characteristics. According to expert data, one aluminum section is capable of delivering on average up to 230 W of thermal power, exceeding this threshold in some models by about 5-7%.
One of those, by the way, is the RAP-500, the output of which is 252 watts. This model is most suitable for installation in a private house, as it allows it to withstand pressure in the system of about 60 bar. With all the "coolness" of technical parameters, its cost remains at the level of the market average peasants, which, of course, is a big plus for consumers. Unfortunately, "Thermal" can not boast of an abundance of a product of this kind, but the brand still has the prerequisites for this.
4 Sira
A country: Italy (produced in China)
Rating (2019): 4.8
Another Italian manufacturer of aluminum and bimetallic radiators, which has been developing its activities since the distant 1961. He is a direct follower of the idea of preserving traditions with a small admixture of innovations caused by the constant search for a perfect model. Until recently, this could be believed without a doubt, but after the transfer of production capacity to China, values lost all meaning.
However, Sira is trying in every way to refute consumer fears, offering the latter the 20-year guarantee of radiator performance, the overstatement of the characteristics of the new line of representatives. So, the latest achievement of the company can be called an increase in the heat transfer of bimetallic sections up to 190 W, with the possibility of improving this result by 5-10% (depending on the heating of the coolant). A striking example of this achievement is the SIRA RS BIMETAL 500 radiator, whose performance reaches 201 watts. SIRA Emilia 500, being an aluminum model, has almost identical performance, but with minor improvements. Buyers leave positive feedback on these models.
3 Royal Thermo
A country: Russia
Rating (2019): 4.8
Behind the poetic name of Royal Thermo, there is a completely down-to-earth domestic manufacturer whose trick is to use the remarkable “Italian” design of radiators. This company is one of the few Russian brands supplying the product to the Eastern European market and, moreover, occupying very high positions there in terms of trust and sales.
The main part of Royal heating radiators is represented by aluminum (as an example, ROYAL THERMO REVOLUTION 500) and bimetallic (ROYAL THERMO BiLiner 500), whose heat transfer is 180 and 170 W, respectively. However, the practice has shown that these figures can change significantly, and, moreover, for the better (by about 20% compared with the nominal value). It is also indicative that the cost of one section here is often lower than that of the main competitor in the face of Rifar, but from the quality point of view, the latter is still a little higher.
2 Rifar
A country: Russia
Rating (2019): 4.9
The domestic company "Rifar" replenished the ranks of manufacturers of heating radiators in 2002, presenting to the public the first line of aluminum and bimetallic sections. The main feature of the company is the low cost associated with good performance. Thus, the declared heat emission of an element of an aluminum radiator averages 183-185 W, bimetallic - 180-182 W, which was confirmed by a number of independent tests by Russian and Italian experts.
An indirect indicator of the reliability of the product from Rifar is the presence of a 10-year warranty, backed up by an insurance certificate from Ingosstrakh. True, the company has recently moved away from the practice of guarantee insurance, providing only 10 years of service. The most qualitative representatives of the company are bimetallic radiators RIFAR MONOLIT 500 and aluminum RIFAR ALUM 500 with high rates of pressure and heat transfer temperature.
1 Global
A country: Italy
Rating (2019): 4.9
An eminent global brand of radiators for heating, competently combining the Italian “sense of beauty” with the famous European quality. Founded in 1971, this giant of the industry was one of the first to undertake the mass production of aluminum radiators, developing and backing up success with the subsequent launch into the production of at least high-quality bimetallic models. Currently, the company controls more than 40% of the global market, which is the best indicator among its kind.
As the eternal advantages of Global heating radiators, experienced users highlight the resistance to rapid aging and loss of performance properties, pleasant design, environmental friendliness of production, as well as diversity within a single line. Among the most popular representatives of the company are the bimetallic radiator STYLE PLUS 500 (180 W of heat transfer, 35 bar of working pressure) and Vox 500 (193 W of heat transfer at 16-20 bars of pressure).
And finally, another important nuance. This company is the only European company that has not transferred production facilities to China.
The best manufacturers of metal radiators
3 Purmo
A country: Finland
Rating (2019): 4.8
Finnish manufacturer of heating radiators, widely known in the European market segment since the 50s of the last century. Purmo products are ideally suited for use in Russia, since they were made taking into account all the peculiarities of winter in the northern regions of Europe. Actually, this is the main feature of the company - its radiators successfully pass the test of the harsh Russian climate.
The greatest success in the international arena was achieved by Purmo steel radiators, which are monolithic blocks with a high degree of heat transfer. For example, PURMO COMPACT 22 500, issuing up to 5572 W of thermal energy in basic heating conditions. Or, if you prefer, PURMO Ramo Compact 500, with similar operating characteristics. In general, the entire line of radiators is characterized by low cost, pleasant design and a guarantee of reliable operation for 10 years, which is quite enough to attract the average consumer.
2 Kermi
A country: Germany
Rating (2019): 4.8
Similarly to the Purmo company, the German company became famous for the production of steel radiators, the production history of which goes back almost 50 years. During this time, the nominee managed not only to change the concept of manufacturing, but also to develop a huge variety of radiator panels. Today, the Kermi range is full of smooth and profiled heater options with high-quality enamel coating and an optional valve for fine control of thermal power.
As a title model, recommended by both users and experts, the radiator FKO 11 500 is allocated, whose heat output can be (depending on length) 459-3441 watts. Among its advantages are also liked to attribute visual qualities and high resistance to the formation of oxides. Another example of the company's products is the Therm x2 FKV 22 500 panel, whose power with a width of 1100 millimeters is 2123 watts. Excellent options for installation in apartments and small rooms of a private house.
1 Buderus
A country: Germany
Rating (2019): 4.8
The oldest player in the market of heaters, dating back to 1731. He is the brightest representative of the German industrial "family" with a pedantic attitude to the smallest details. Starting work on cast iron radiators, Buderus gradually switched to the production of metal panels, gradually complicating the structural components of the materials used, as well as the design parameters of the models being manufactured.
As the most popular radiator from Buderus in Russia, you can select the model LOGATREND K-PROFIL 22 500, capable of working with heat carriers with temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius. This component of the technical characteristics makes it possible to install the panel within a private house, where heating elements work in the most serious operating conditions. The only nuance of the panel section is the high price, which is a kind of compensation for such a rich history of the manufacturing company.
The best manufacturers of cast iron radiators
2 Könner
A country: Russia (produced in China)
Rating (2019): 4.7
Another representative of the domestic production segment of radiators, wearing a very sonorous and memorable name. Despite the nominally Russian origin, Könner bases its manufacturing facilities in China, offering consumers the cheapest products among all the nominees for a place in the ranking of the best.
In fact, the low price is not due to the most optimal technical characteristics, which are demonstrated by the aluminum and bimetallic line of radiators. Much better at Könner things with cast-iron models of heaters, the heat of which (in terms of section) is about 150 watts. In terms of visual characteristics, these radiators may also surprise users.Since childhood, we have all become accustomed to massive sections and heavy cast iron batteries, but there are no serious dimensions of speech here: everything is done according to the canons of the type of aluminum models, and only weight can produce a fundamental difference in the material. A striking example of the Könner cast iron radiator is the Modern 500, productive enough and cheap to become popular with consumers.
1 Viadrus
A country: Czech
Rating (2019): 4.9
The Czech manufacturer of heating equipment is one of the leaders in the segment for the production of efficient cast iron radiators, for which it is rightfully given a place in the top ranking. The first well-known mention of the brand dates back to 1888, when historically the first casting of a cast iron radiator was carried out. Having perpetuated tradition and opening up for new experience, the company embarked on the path of equipping houses and apartments with new sectional heaters, among which there was a place for both purely classical and modern laconic execution.
As a representative of the current series is to highlight the model STYL 500/130. It is capable of producing up to 170 W of power, withstanding the temperature of the coolant up to 115 degrees Celsius, and at the same time maintain its nominal characteristics up to 15 years of continuous use. The only caveat is the high required water consumption in the system, which is why it is more profitable to use the battery in a private house. From the classics can be distinguished vintage model radiator Bohemia R, created not only for the sake of a spectacular look, but also able to remove up to 100 watts of heat. Reviews of her extremely positive.
